Mozilla's Stephen Horlander created a new design called Australis that will bring an updated look and feel to Firefox on the desktop. The new theme will bring curved tabs, a simplified menu, and a number of other improvements to Firefox. Mozilla has also separately been working on a more functional start page and a cleaner interface for managing downloads.

The mobile Firefox user interface is already in close alignment with the new style. Some updated mockups published in the slide presentation show how further refinement will increase visual consistency between the mobile user interface and the Australis design on the desktop.

Mozilla is also working on a Metro version of the Firefox Web browser for Windows 8. The Metro design mockups included in the slide presentation show a layout that is similar to the one that Firefox uses on Android tablets.

From Opera's UI they jump to Chrome's UI. So please tell me how innovative they are.

I don't understand what has happened to Mozilla? Firefox used to be my favorite browser but now it's a bloatware which copy things from other browsers.

All modern browsers are very similar.
I can't feel the difference

I don't know what you're seeing, but that doesn't look like Chrome to me at all.

Most browsers these days tend to take cues off Chrome anyway. Get used to it already!

I lke it. It's similar to Chrome but not the same. They need to work on their Android version though.

Firefox for Android beta currently has the worst UI. They should update it ASAP.

Mozilla "Hey! Curved tabs! Lets copy Chrome! no one will notice!"
This is why i dropped FF years ago. infact every time i install linux, FF is the first thing i remove. it's like the IE of the Linux world, get rid of that shit, Chrome/ium baby, atw.

I use both FF and Opera under Linux. I keep it because it saves form values in form fields (unlike Opera) when i press F5.
