HP's has updated its popular Pavilion dvt6 and dvt7 laptops with new Intel Core i7-3610QM processors running at 2.3GHz.

HP's also offering upgrades to the Core i7-3720QM at 3.6GHz or the i7-3820QM at 3.7GHz; those updates will cost an extra $170 or $370, respectively.

The 15.6-inch dvt6 starts at $899.99, while the 17.3-inch dvt7 goes for $999.99.

Regardless of which display you prefer, these laptops come with a 750GB HDD, 8GB of RAM, and the Nvidia GeForce GT 630M graphics processor.

The MAIN reason I'm looking at something else for my new laptop to use on my new job.

My HP gets hot like lava balls.

Here's a photoshop of what I mean:

Look at Dell, Asus, and Lenovo. Especially Lenovo. You won't regret it.

HP is really fast with updating these laptops to Ivy Bridge though!
