Hi guys,

I have a webmail server in production that I would like to share with you with the main propose of providing a free service and specially receive feedback from your experience with it.

You can register your own free account. Accounts inactive for a month will be deleted automatically.

All major browsers are supported.

Features:

E-mail :P
Calendaring
Planner
Sticky Notes
AddressBook
Context Menu (Right Click)
Keyboard shortcuts
Keylogger Prevention
Summary
Automatic AddressBook
Google Contact sync
Remote IMAP support to check other e-mails accounts right from your webmail
Drag & Drop attachments
Scheduled Sending (compose an e-mail and send it out at specific time)
Virtual Keyboard
And much more....

You can register your account at: http://unlockforus.com/roundcube/

The initial account size is 200MB. I can increase it per request if necessary.

I really hope to get some feedback from you guys, and I honestly appreciate it.

Happy e-mailing :)

By the way, the webmail performs better in Chrome and Safari.

I'm planning on adding mod_spdy (an open source Apache module to help make the webmail even faster - next).

A webmail service, seriously?

Why would anyone register on your website?

Surb86,

I never asked anyone to register on my site not I expect you to do so. I simply offered a webmail front-end for an e-mail server with the hope to receive feedback from users. Registering a free e-mail account will not get you registered on the site.

In addition to that, I believe you are completely missing the point of my post.

Finally, people with interests completely different to yours might register there. You could've easily ignored my post and move on.

If you have nothing productive to add, please add me to your ignore list. Thank you so much :)

What's suspicious to you? I've been around this site for almost 8 years. I work as an IT consultant and I'm simply expecting feedback from you guys? What's happening with the community here at WinMatrix? What am I missing?

I'm not advertising, making profits or displaying ads. I'm asking for feedback and in return I offer a free service that might or might not be fun for you to use. The webmail is based on Roundcube Webmail which is a free open source AJAX webmail. Developers and supporters contribute to this project all the time. As such, I do too.

There is even a demo account available (with limitations).

I miss the old fellows at WinMatrix. It seems like if you don't post a Desktop screenshot or an icon customization pack any more you simply don't brew well in the community.

Thanks, for your comments Tataarujin but I honestly believe the service provides much more than a "suspicious" post.

I meant "Why would anyone register on your website," when Gmail has blown apart the webmail competition.

Sorry for the confusion.

Sorry for the confusion.

I'm really interested in getting feedback. I do not intend to compete against a monster service like Google's Gmail but if you ask about functionality I could give you a few examples.

1- Remote IMAP Accounts. (You can check any e-mail account right from your @unlockforus.com webmail, switching back and forth with one click) Google offers outgoing IMAP not incoming...
2- Identities (You can send e-mails from different (multiple) identities from within your webmail account.
3- Right click functionality
4- Resolution - You can load your webmail into a frame set for specific resolution (specially useful for widescreen Dual-Monitor users)
5- Keyboard Shortcuts - Select all visible messages, Mark all visible messages as read, Compose a message, Delete message, Forward the message, [previousmessages], [nextmessages], Print this message, Reply to sender, Reply to list or to sender and all recipients, Quick search, Check for new messages, Displaying Messages, Delete message, Compose a message, Forward the message, Show previous message, Show next message, Print this message, Reply to sender, Reply to list or to sender and all recipients... All this by just pressing a keyboard key.
6- Scheduled Sending (Compose and e-mail and set the time you would like it to be send out)... You can compose your e-mail and have it sent by tomorrow morning.
7- Automatic Addressbook - Email addresses not in your Personal addressbook are automatically added to the Automatic Addressbook. Next time you compose a message you won't have to type the full e-mail address again or you can simply move e-mail addresses to your private addressbook.
8- Privacy (This is the main reason why I use my own e-mail service and not Google's but everyone is entitled to their own preferences and concerns.

And few other things... So yeah, the functionality is there. Even when I can't compete with Google it does not mean I have to join them.
