Win+X Menu Editor for Windows 8 allows you to add or remove Win+X menu items
Posted Image
Win+X Menu Editor is my latest work and it serves to provide you a simple and useful way to edit Win+X menu without system files modification. It keeps untouched your system integrity.

With Win+X Menu Editor you'll able:
  • to add new items.
  • to remove any item of Win+X menu.
  • to change display name of any item of Win+X menu.
  • reorder Win+X menu items.

The Win+X Menu Editor is available in two editions - x86 and x64. Don't use x86 version on Windows x64 - it works with bugs.

Note you can also add any file to Win+X menu, not only *.lnk
Win+X Menu Editor will create shortcut automatically.
Sorry, thats was not clean from my announce and video.

I have checked your web site but found nothing related with Win+X editor for Windows 8.
If you mean software you have created for older versions of Windows, probably it is a good idea to create the separate topic in "community apps" :)

Hi.
From now we have Win+X Menu Editor for Windows 8 version 1.0.0.1
It supports Windows 8 Release Preview. Don't use the older version win WIndows 8 RP, please update it or you will loose your Win+X Menu.

Sorry, I can't repeat your issue.
Can you send me your group4 folder?
Also, I have updated Win+X Menu Editor to version 1.1.0.2
I have improved adding *.lnk files.
Now it uses proper file name for Win+X menu item instead of target name, so you not need to rename it.

Btw, I moved the shortcuts manually to "Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WinX\Group4" because I couldn't add them with Win+x Menu Editor... I will try the new version but not right now because I'm in Win7, I have dual boot.

The new version must be more helpful with that.
When you add shortcuts manually the application can't handle whem because they have to be named properly, e.g.
<number><number> - Name.lnk
It's according to Microsoft ideas, not me.
