Speed Dial and New Homepage in Firefox 13 Alpha

Mozilla has uploaded the second Alpha version of Firefox 13 to its Aurora channel. Speed Dial has been finally added and there's a redesigned homepage! :D

The Awesome Bar will now auto completes typed URLs. ;)

Firefox 13 Alpha Changelog

  • When opening a new tab, users are now presented with their most visited pages
  • The Awesome Bar now auto-completes typed URLs
  • SPDY protocol now enabled by default for faster browsing on supported sites
  • Restored background tabs are not loaded by default for faster startup
  • Smooth scrolling is now enabled by default
  • The default home page now has quicker access to bookmarks, history, settings, and more
  • 72 total improvements to Page Inspector, HTML panel, Style Inspector, Scratchpad and Style Editor
  • Support for the CSS3 background-position property extended syntax has been added
  • The :invalid pseudo-class can now be applied to the element
  • The CSS turn unit is now supported

Mozilla developers have been contributing so much. Look at their effort the push a series of new releases

of Firefox, this shows me their characters. Fist pumping for them.

oh look. trying to catch up to Chrome. not bad. only 6 months late with the speed dial and config start up page.
(edit: yes, speed dial came form Opera, chrome (and everyone else) stole that idea, blah blah blah, "Great Artists Steal" whatever. you know they took that updated homepage design form Chrome)

I tried and for me about:home its pretty useless and ''speed dial '' have 0 settings unlike Opera's perfectly crafted.
I still prefer FF thought.

Chrome was the first browser who stole speed dial from Chrome.
