So I am not known as a graphic artist, but I do play around in the Gimp quite a bit.
This is three of my "Sky" series wallpapers, all 1440x900 png files.

GrungeSky
Posted Image
Decided to make a Wallpaper in the Gimp.
Played with Brushes (Clouds), more Brushes (Grunge Splashes), Gradients, etc...
Download:dA Direct Download.

GrungeSky v2
Posted Image
Re-hash of the original GrungeSky wallpaper...
This time with a semi-mosaic pixelized background.
Download:dA Direct Download.

GnomeSky
Posted Image
Took my GrungeSky wall, removed the Grunge, and used the default Gnome3 wallpaper, Semi-Mosaic tile effect.
Download:dA Direct Download.

About & Info...
All graphics (save for the Gnome3 Background) is original, through use of brushes, creative selection tools, etc...
Feel free to use Non-Commercially. (Dont put it in an app, system pack, skin pack, etc... and dont include it in a app that you plan on selling)

Please leave a comment if you like, dislike, suggestions... It helps me become a better artist!

Did you make it in RGB/8? Gradient shade isn't blending smoothly in the last two wallpapers.

Thanks! I am actually using GnomeSky as my Android wallpaper ... resized of course.

No i did Overlay in the Gimp ... Gimp does not have RGB Specifications.. Just your choice of RGB / Greyscale and Indexed.
Just checked it, the bit depth was 32.... It is most likley the overlay.
But it is mostly due to me setting it as Overlay instead of Screen, although i think there may be better choices...
