Skype 5.6 for Windows with improved screen sharing

Skype 5.6 for Windows has been released. in this version Skype team has polished some of the existing features to help improve the overall ease of use.

The main changes in Skype 5.6 are:

  • Screen sharing improvements
  • New 'getting started' experience
  • Small changes to the call controls
  • The 'Call Phones' button has been moved
  • Updated 'Click to Call' browser plugins
  • In call advertising
  • 'Skype Home' UI improvements in compact mode
  • Share your thoughts about this new version on our Support Network or in case you see the odd issue then please report it to us on our public issue tracker.

I hate the advertising in skype. And I was always hoping for some new designs :cry:

I use TeamViewer for screen sharing. Skype is my Facebook client. :P

Skype is for me just because of foolish people that wont use TeamSpeak 3 on their PC's. I hate to speak with people with microphone with no push-to-talk key.

really hate those freakin browser addons skype installs, malware in my eyes.

I just wondered; On my XP PC skype installs an add-on in browsers (like chrome) but in my Windows 7 laptop, no add-ons... Hmmmmm..
