My first Windows 8 app!

It allows you to toggle between the Metro Start screen and the Classic start menu in Windows 8 Developer Preview.

WINDOWS 8 ONLY.

RUN AS ADMIN. (Win 8 may require you to download and install the .Net 3.5.1 runtimes)

Download: dA Direct Download

Nice. Makes Win8 actually usable on a non-touch screen computer. Thank you.

Thanks! I took notice that when you toggle the Metro/Classic, it also affects the Explorer Ribbon... strange.

I do hope that the start menu is default for non tablet users, like a hardware check during setup or something. What do you think?

So.... You're effectively turning Windows 8 back into Windows 7. Disabling Metro also disables the changes made to Explorer, Auto-AREO colorization, the new Task Manager, erc... What's the point then of downloading Windows 8?

You think the only thing different between Windows 7 and Windows 8 is the Metro UI ?

MS been working all this time on only a few tiles and sparkly task manager etc ?

It appears that the link to Windows 8 Start Menu Toggle is no working. Anyone know where else it might be obtained?
