Honestly, if you have to store it (best thing is to keep it on the internet where it belongs), the best way is just to just put it in random folders that you remember, obviously rename your file, and for safety, change the ending to .dll, and just open it in your video player. If it doesn't work, change the ending before opening it, and then change it back after you're done.

Burn it to a DVD / CD and put a label "Barney and Friends" and hide it

If you see folders within folders with some ransom names, definitely porn!

I don't watch porn.

Anime FTW.

Don't mention anime and porn in the same thread; it only leads to one thing...

External 1TB HDD. Partition encryption. Specialized app for tracking files original names as how all names on the drive are random chars.
Oh wait, porn? Thats for my source code.

Thumb drive for porn. take it with me, or toss it on the BBQ for quick disposal.
But i should make something clear... I have virtually no "real" porn. The "porn" i have is nude pics of my ex-wife, and ex-girlfriend.
so there is not much there.

I believe that if it has Tentacles, or such, then it's Hentai.

Here are two simple programs for hiding your folders:

Free Hide Folder
My Lockbox

These programs are not as powerful as TrueCrypt but do the job very well. ;)

Thanks. :D

No porn as well. The best porn is the porn the woman selects before the good time happens.

And then one day your cousin will find that DVD for his kids' party.... what ensues after is what my brain cringes from imagining.

This is how I hide my porn:

I really need a free app to password protect my folders. Any help? :D

Truecrypt. Makes encrypted computer drives in the form of files. You could make a file called systemmem.sys in Windows\systemx, as big as you like, and when you mount it in TrueCrypt it adds a new special drive to My Computer. Once you dismount the drive, everything on it can't be reached.

After that there's a few extra steps you can take to make sure filenames don't appear as autocomplete in explorer address bars if someone types in to it.

Like, if you put your porn on a TrueCrypt drive which you assign the drive letter P for porn, if someone types something starting with P in to the address bar (or maybe even just clicks on it) then remembered filenames from that drive might appear, like P:\Hentai\TentacleParty.jpg. You should learn how to clear history after every access, and things like internet history.

Infact, if there's anyone with access to your computer that has any reason to snoop around your files, probably the worst thing you can do is use folder names like that which stand out. Always use the grey method - use mundane folder names that sound like system files but with something about them you'll not forget. Truecrypt is great because putting porn in grey folders won't stop searches finding C:\Windows\BoringSystemFolder\NastyPorn.jpg if someone searches for porn. With Truecrypt everything is in one file-container. It's free, efficient, and emulates drives so well you won't notice a difference between a mounted Truecrypt drive and an actual hard drive.

It's easy to find with Google. It's truecrypt.org or something.

If you're not a nerd and none of that makes sense, just disguise your porn folders as system folders and hope for the best. You could even put it all in C:\Program Files\WinRar\SetupFiles or something. Anything that nobody would look twice at. Desktop\STAY-OUT! is the opposite of what you want.
