Mozilla has released Firefox 5 beta.

This release includes the Firefox channel switcher, performance and stability enhancements and support for the new CSS Animations standard to allow developers build more amazing Web experiences. The new Firefox channel switcher lets users move between Firefox Aurora, Beta and Release channels to test features at various levels of development, quality and polish.

Remember that Firefox 5 beta will install over the top of any existing stable Firefox application, so use with caution. To revert to an earlier stable version, you need to simply install Firefox 4 over the top of the beta version.

Well, apparently Mozilla really has vision far to the future, but Mozilla has thought about the design of Mozilla Firefox 5. As quoted from CNet.com, this leading Internet browser already thought about Firefox 5 design, although the design isn't a final design and just plan (in other words, it can be changed on the future).

But, from the initial design, the competition nuance is strong. It seems Mozilla really wants to compete and beat Microsoft with its Internet Explorer 9. One of interesting features that IE 9 has is Site-Specific Browsers, apparently will be adopted by Mozilla too on Firefox 5.

The channel switcher is useful.
