The user interface is very friendly and catchy. It's the first time I see a software written so well VISUALLY.
As for effectiveness, it analyzes your system better than other software, but do not expect to shave 20 or 30 seconds or so.

Installing SSD's on all of my machines gives me boot times of 30 seconds or less.
The price of SSD's has been steadily dropping with their increasing acceptance and popularity.
Within a few years they will probably be installed as original equipment
as an option for retail PC's.

I tried it a couple of weeks ago.

I was already using Startup Delayer to delay and time my startup programs. I guess that's why I did not see a huge since my setup was already optimized.
Startup Delayer gives you more control i.e: exact delay time and sequencing.

I guess this is a good tool for those that dont know how to run msconfig, click on the startup tab, and use common sense on what items to remove from startup. Seriously, i have been doing this since Windows 98 - ME. Just run msconfig and use common sense. Do you need skype, aim and Roxio Burn to start on windows boot... NO. just use common sense.
doesn't provide delay option though...@xserver, checking out Startup Delayer
edit: it detected only 2 programs

That's strange, I guess Soluto's managing all that now and I only didn't delay PeerBlock and the Synaptics driver (which are the ones that show)@ Afzal
That's pretty weird. Mine detects everything except services of course.
My list includes: Switcher, Dropbox, Everest OSD, Executor, ATI Catalyst, Logitech SetPoint, and UltraMon.

All I can say about Soluto is its very user friendly and it provides details about the applications running in our startup, so theres enough information which one is safe to disable. And I guess a newbie can use it without ease. I hope it will stay free when it finally release into version 1.
