Well, AFAIK, on 1st april 2008 there was a fools joke called LinMatrix, when every visitor of WinMatrix has been redirected to fake LinMatrix site. This time it was just a joke.
But now, with growing Linux popularity, I'm really seriously starting to think about real LinMatrix site and forums. What do you think about its creating? Worth or not?

I remember asking Jatin if it would ever be a reality, and he said "mabey".
Seeing as how Jatin just recently got married, i dont know if he will have the time to do this project, make it real or not.

with al of the having been said, i DO hope that LM will eventually become a reality, even if I have to buy the domain name from him and slap a forum up on there.

I would be happy to help.. but i just have a few experiences of Linux, im not an advanced user. But for the forum i can help moderating/administrate the ACP and such. 
I have a webhotel i just got.. but if someone justs get the domain it should not be so big problem to host, as the traffic is limited as high as 9,98Gb/month.. 500mb harddrive space but i think i can get higher space if needed..

Yes. I too use KDE. It certainly looks nice, but again, I personally wouldn't waste time with a "LinMatrix." And I know some people will disagree with me on this, but this site also isn't what it used to be a 4+ years ago when XP theming was at it's highest (IMO). It seems as though many people are simply sticking to Deviant Art pages and not really bothering to advertise on other forums.

Your right. WM is not as active as it was some 4+ years ago. I remember making apps like crazy simply due to the attendance at this website. It has calmed down dramatically.And I know some people will disagree with me on this, but this site also isn't what it used to be a 4+ years ago when XP theming was at it's highest (IMO).

Again, your right. I always hosted my apps on dA so that i could have a download count for how many had downloaded my apps. On dA you can host, make a graphical ad, and make a description that you could more or less copy-paste to websites all over the internet.It seems as though many people are simply sticking to Deviant Art pages and not really bothering to advertise on other forums.

- LinMatrix site with Gnome/Tango look and feel or whatever community wants.
- A news page for linmatrix.com
- Separate forums for news, apps and customization related discussion

- Dedicated News posters
- Regular forum posters
- Moderators
Community members who are willing to help in this project, please PM me and keep this thread alive with your suggestions.

sounds like an interesting project. I'd like to be a mod of that. I already have tons of info. You already know this because the alternative operating system forum was made from my large information Linux thread. I can help with development when I have the time.
