Enhancer

Enhancer lets you add in shortcuts to not only your desktop, but also directly to your My Computer!



Ok, i have to admit, for such a small app, this took me a long time to make... like 2 months. Had to go digging in the Registry to find out how to do this right, because normally windows will only allow for two of these, but i bypassed that limitation by giving the new registry entries a CSLID.

Laymans terms :(CSLID = safe thing to do)

Please post comments, this may end up getting assimilated in to another program that i am doing, but i thought that i would just release this for right now.

[note] Once you put a program on your Desktop or My Computer, you (currently) have to go digging in the registry to delete it. I have a way to remove it currently, but i want to make sure that it is 100% safe first![/note]

well, i had the thought one day, that i open up My Computer more than anything else to go to other folders, and i know that some customizing software lets you put two folders on the My Computer... i just had to overcome the two items thing.

oh yeah, if anyoe can point out to me where to find more bitmapped fonts, i would surely appreciate it! the one that i have been using is called "BitOut", and i think that i am going to have to swap over to a new font for my titlebar designs.

nice idea man but no one has answer my question how can you add or manage the thing when you right click on a folder or program you know that theres a sento example sento desktop ect documents how can you add and manage it or do you have to hack it or something?

sorry about that, i did not realise that you had a question about it.

All that it does is create a registry entry in form of a CSLID to your My Computer folder And / Or to your Desktop. It does not integrate in to your Send To or anything else like that.

and i have a pretty good management system for it in place, but i want for it to be 100% before i release it, you see, adding to the registry is pretty much safe, but deleting from it... that is another story.

now i WAS thinking of embedding it also in to the SendTo menu, but i decided against that.
