hey man love your work!

Just having one problem though.

I'm using 32-bit Win7 Pro, followed your instructions exactly, and yet I'm getting this problem?
Posted Image

Any ideas on how I can fix this?

Otherwise it's awesome!

EDIT:

I tried it on my 64-bit Win7 Ult, which worked flawlessly, even without the problem above.

So not sure how I would fix that?

and my only, ONLY criticism would be in the start menu, top right hand corner, the blue bar, looks cool, but I keep thinking of it as a scroll bar? anyone else noticing this? I know it's a small niggly thing, but hey it's in beta so thought I'd throw my 2 cents out there.

Awsome job on this one man...the glow in the address bar is super, and so are the multi-colour glow lines in the details pane.
I modified my start orb to match the show desktop button and it's HOT! (nudge, nudge!)
I use Win7 x64 home premium, and I've the same run dialog problem as Mr. Matt. The address bar is okay though.
Also, the bitmap in the shutdown dialog needs to be modified to go well with a dark background...I guess something like that is never included with a theme, is it?
These are not problems, exactly, only suggested improvements :-)
I'll post screenshots as soon as I get to my computer.

The only reason I don't use dark themes is that they mess up photoshop's UI, especially the ruler. But this one...I switch to another theme when I use photoshop or illustrator :-)

Again, beautiful theme!

You should add transparancy too window titles and the start menu to match the jumplists

Awww yes! Thanks for pointing out the problem exists on the 32-bit Windows OS only. Was driving me crazy trying to figure out why this was happening to only some people. The theme was developed on a 64-bit machine with the 32-bit files modified at last minute (on the same 64-bit machine) just in time for this release. The files were probably not modified properly, and so I'll be check'n them out. About the blue bar... how about if I make it a little less pronounced? The run problem occurs in all dark themes to my knowledge and sadly cannot be fixed. I tried profusely, but was unable to skin the OS entirely.

Thanks man... would love to see the mod u made to your start button  . The run prob cannot be fixed sadly, and occurs in almost every dark theme out there compatible with this OS. Thanks for the suggestion on the shutdown button... a part of me was at odds with it as well, and I'll fix that with in the next release ;) . Oh, and bring on the screenshots man... bring em on :D !

Initially I had no transparency in the theme whatsoever, but then decided that I didn't want to kill the effect entirely, so I opted for transparency in the jumplists, aeropeek windows, taskbar, and its thumbnails. Also, transparency in the window titles would mean transparency in their borders, and that would be going against the design I had in my head ;) .

If the final theme ends up being close to that, this'll finally convince me to patch my system and apply the theme.

That looks HOT! :D

Lol... thanks man. And yes, the final will look like that along with some improvements  .

The theme is great, but the show desktop button kinda ruins it for me.

Nooooooo  Its beautiful.

Thanks, and I think so too... it stays :D

Hey, thanks for the reply!

so what your saying is, the run thing cannot be fixed (doesn't REALLY bother me, I mean come on how often is it even used?) but the explorer window bit CAN be fixed, it's just a matter of finding what needs to be changed? If so then definitely let us know when that's fixed!

As for the blue bar, I like your idea, perhaps smudge the edges? so it doesn't stick out so much but is still present?

Let me know.

Nice to finally see a creator who is interested in feedback and replies!

Yeah, most of the skin authors just post the skins here, go and come back again to post another skin.

Opera presents the same problem as IE8 in the same websites.

When I mean Hang Over efect in caption buttons is like the efect in start menu orb, it will look great!
