I know you veteran forum bloggers hate repeats on your forums, but honestly who can find anything out here? I know in this forum someplace is a procedure to install Windows Media Player 11 on Windows 7. I have downloaded the Windows 11 installer, downloaded and updated the registry to allow me to take Ownership of all of the files in the instructions. However, whenever I run the installer it fails trying to copy every file which makes me think none of the files which I took ownership for 'took'. I went back and checked them and the ownership definitely changed to this user account I am logged in with which is a member of the Administrator's group. I know it's me not doing something correctly or failing to do something, but I have tried to follow the instructions to the letter and am still failing. Any help for me out there in the ether? Thank You.
