Hello all WinMatrix users. I just wanted to say that I have now been a member for almost 4 years here, and this site is by far the best computer related websites of them all. But the ads are getting out of hand! I have my popup blocker disabled for a few sites and this being one of them but for gods sake, every time that I click on a link in the forum to go to another page in the forum I have to sit through ads. I understand that there needs to be ads in order to cover the charges of the website but having ads that show up when you click on a link and make you sit there until the "Skip Ad" link appears. It's a good ten seconds until that text appears. I'm fine with having banner ads on the website but those ads are going too far.

Please, if there are other WinMatrix users that are infuriated by this, lets try and get something done about it. Having those ads come up ruin the WinMatrix experience. Thank you for reading this.

i use adblock for Chrome, but i still have to sit through the redirecting ads. if if you middle-click on some link, you still get those "redirecting" ads!

The reson for those, however, so so that it is less of a financial burden on Jatin. if people would donate to the site, he may remove the ads for those people, like how deviantArt does.

Your browser might prevent it.

I have encountered the "redirecting" ads about every 5 pages of the forum. It annoys me to have to wait for 15 seconds just to see one post.

Maybe if we donate ~$10/week, we could help Jatin with the costs. :o

I absolutely hate the full screen ad, because when I go to open a new tab it forces the page to open in the same tab. That interrupts my browsing

You may find it strange but I too didn't know about the full page ads. These ads appear differently region wise so it is visible to users of that particular region only.

Only banner ads have been placed on the site but it could be possible that the advertisers would have enabled the full page ad without my consent. I emailed them immediately just after checking this thread and someone from them told me that the full page ads have been disabled now.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

I appreciate to note that some users have disabled adblock on WinMatrix to support the site. It is utmost required for the sustenance of WinMatrix.

Thank you very much Jatin for your quick action. This is truly the greatest site on the web for anything relating to computer issues, customization, and general tech talk. It is my second most visited website behind Facebook.

Once again a big Thank you goes to Jatin for his awesomeness.
