I believe all that can be fixed by changing the text glow. That way, the gadgets window will appear without the glow and the text will be crisp black. The gadget window is barely translucent and mostly white, so black text [u]without[/u] a black glow would look nice.

If you use Ave's Style Builder, here's the procedure: Under Fonts, Colors, & System Metrics - Colors (Global), Change GlowColor:Color to white. That's it. If you don't use Ave's You can send me an email to webtrance@cox.net and I'll reply with your modified MSSTYLE! From what I can see, this makes a real difference in readability and looks really nice.

You can pick your own start button since the start button is part of explorer.exe rather than the VS itselg. Its not much of a problem

I'll keep waiting for a port, but without the explorer all it does is make my background black and make the glass grey

nice vs, downloaded for my win7 64 bit working fine until i changed the theme file.
@purplepeopleeater and @katz93
the theme file gives the beta dir path "Path=%SystemRoot%\Resources\Themes\Glow Air\Glow Air.msstyles"

i think this need to correct because the final dir name Glow Air Final else the explorer would go gray only.

I changed the name of the theme file and it didn't do anything. I didn't think to change the directory name lmao

Just one glitch...when the windows are maximized, the title bar text doesn't have the glow, it is plain white, and doesn't look good on lighter backgrounds...is it just me or others see this too?

No I noticed that too, it happened in paint when I was saving my screenshot. He used the Clearscreen style titlebars so I dont think there's anything he could do. Personally I prefer the stock windows titles that are black when maximized and minimized.

WOW! nice work! my favorite theme for win7 so far! I noticed this also has a basic theme too. The black text on black background on the start menu in basic (when dwm.exe is turned off) could on be changed to white.

[edit] I noticed your dlls are causing freezing problems with flash beta on x64. I had revert to my original dlls.

y am i the only one having trouble applying this theme -.-
all it does is change the start orb and the buttons, but the theme itself isnt applied, i even downloaded the updated version, help anyone?
