One of the most attractive thing that was introduced with Windows Vista was the introduction of the Gadget feature. This feature has been carried forward to Microsoft's latest OS sensation, Windows 7 with the ability to place them anywhere you want. Just now I came across this useful To-Do List gadget which as the name suggests helps you in keeping track of what are the tasks that need to be done.

It features a very simple interface that doesn't get in your way. Double-click to edit an item, drag to change order. To create a new to-do list just open a new instance from Desktop Gadget Gallery.

Features:

  • Simple and intuitive interface
  • Drag and drop to reorder
  • Save and load todo list in plain text format
  • Print your list directly from the gadget
  • Docked mode to save space

Works with Windows Vista and Windows 7.

:lamp: Tip: Windows 8 user? You can get the sidebar back in Windows 8 with this program.

Nice - definitely better than the Sticky Note application in Windows 7

i love it, but vista did let you place a gadget anywhere. You just detach it from the sidebar

Looks good, is there any way you could add a large and small version?

Looks nice and has great features. But a agree, a smaller version would be great so it fits on Vista's sidebar.

Even if your not using vista's sidebar, it still takes up too much desktop/wallpaper real estate for me. Great gadget, just too big.

I agree

I wish we could have the Gadgets in a row like Rocket Dock
So its small row, But when we put the pointer on it would become big Posted Image

Is there a thread on Top 5 or 10 Gadgets of each
Weather, Clock, etc

Sorry to dig this thread, but I'm the author of this gadget, which in the meantime got to version 1.4 and has some nice new features and improvements over the version posted here.

Here's a link to the gadget's page

I'm also looking for feedback and ideas on improvements and features. Feel free to reply to this thread or drop me an email.

Cheers

I really like this gadget, but is there a way to make it sortable or just move things around if needed to place highest priority at top?
