Stardock released WindowBlinds 7 today. WindowBlinds 7 includes a host of new features and adds native support for Windows 7. Amongst its new features is the ability to “skin Aero.” WindowBlinds 7 includes a new configuration program that makes it easy to access the new features of the program. For example, users can now add their own textures to existing skins.

To learn more, visit www.windowblinds.net. Free trial can be downloaded from here.

Screenshots and a walkthrough of WindowBlinds 7 can be seen here.

Be sure to check out the November Desktop Screenshot contest on WinMatrix, where you could win yourself a copy of WB7!

Downloading trial now. I won't update my screenshot in the contest because I feel that using a trial software would be an unfair advantage.

Looks good, but i prefer the old method(VS) because there is a lot skin for Windows 7. Can we use Vista theme(WB) in Windows 7? If not, i didn't see people working any skin specifically for Windows 7 yet.

I hope so, and if windows aero IS present does WB use windows aero or their own blurring?

No, in order to skin Aero the system must support it. Skins will still work on a non-Aero systems, but will lack the semi-tranparency.

You can make a full glass skin if you wish. :)

I would if I could, but the following limitations are stopping me:
No font effects (like glow)
No transparency for navigation pane
Weak aero colorization (bug? coz even frost which should be almost white looks like transparent default)
New folder has black background when explorer texture transparency is set to 0

Im scared in patching system files and I'm done with that. better stick with traditional themes. and besides these themes support aero styles.
