Lots of new features to make skin authoring and editing easier and more powerful, and great new tools for end users to help with managing Rainmeter in your environment.

Whats great gets better, that now applies to Vista, and Rainmeter :D

I love the new enigma taskbar, its rounded so it matches fedia's iphone clock. The new "now playing" skin is more responsive and updates itself better

Maybe, but i don't think so.. The new release got new UI and theme management so that we can turn on/off widget that we don't want or edit the setting

I've installed it and disabled the default gadgets of 7. Rainmeter is much better.

I actually prefer the older versions of Rainmeter - I liked the program when it was a lot less memory intensive.
