Updated Versions:

Version 1.4
Posted Image
So this will be the last revision until i can get startmenu skinning in, i think.

This reduces the number of options, to keep the app simple (it does not need a kitchen sink function...), and i reduced the amount of the code (cleanup) to keep the app small and portable.

This is actually, believe it or not, a fully new re-write from the previous three. It has the ability to immedatly apply any changes that you may apply.

The new feature is that you can use PNG files as "Overlays", that is, is you have a "glass blur" png, you can right click on the image selector, choose the png file, and see it overlayed.

Unlike the prior releases, this on only has the overlays that i made with it, no base skins.

If you need a base skin, go download version 1.3 from my dA page, extract the files in to the folder where your keeping it at, and extract this file on top of the folder, so that your always running the latest and greatest bleeding edge software.

Anyway, have fun, comments welcomed, i will listen to suggestions, but remember, this will be my last release until the start menu support is added in correctly.

Version 1.3

So, this is the portable (non-install) version, now the default version. As with suggestions, it can now be set to run at windows start up, along with auto-applying the last skin that was chosen.

The start menu will become transparent with the slider now. An option has been added so that you can NOT make the start menu transparent now.

all of the skins from the two prior versions is included with 1.3

Version 1.2
Posted Image

New layout look, Auto detects Taskbar position (only Top and Bottom) and between Locked and Unlocked.

No support for Left only and Right only is planned, because i dont know of any one that uses the Taskbar like that...

Included is a few new skins (7, one is not shown) that is baised around Win7.

Amazingly enough, the skins even look good under XP.

The "X" in the top corner minimizes, so now you dont have to go to the tray icon any more.

next update may have support for the actual Start menu itself.

So, This is a small app that can Texturize your Taskbar (only the bar, not the start menu). I saw how Windowblinds 7 was toting this exact same thing as a major feature, and it got me mad, because i did this app back in 2002 more or less.

So i quickly re-created the app, added in tray support, and i may even get start menu support in some time soon.

This comes with 10+ textures that i made in about as many minutes.

This currently only work if your taskbar is set to the bottom, i have to add in detection of taskbar placement next.

This has only been tested in XP, but i suspect that in Vista / 7, in AERO, it would look positively kick ass!

Note: I have every intention of continuing this app and making it even better with start menu skinning, taskbar area detection and such. all i need is a few more days.

Download Notes: Download the Portable version (1.3) and use that version, please.

NOTE: TO use the latest update, you HAVE to download V.1, then install it, then manually update (open the zip file) and place the update in to the install folder. ( C:\Program Files\Project1\ )

Well it does work under Aero, but I can't tell if the taskbar is transparent or not. Click for image.
Spoiler

Works with transparency. Had to click "Magnet LCD" with Transparent Texture clicked.

So are there any other ideas for later builds? I think you should make a app suite with all the customization apps you have been making lately. :D

Updated to Ver. 0.2. Taskbar detection added in, 7 new skins.
New skins are easy and simple to make, so can we get some more people to make skins for the app?

Working on Start Menu support next.
