Using Google Chrome in Internet Explorer 6,7 or 8 is now possible!

If you can't install Google Chrome and you must use Internet Explorer, there's a way to use Google Chrome's rendering engine inside IE: Google Chrome Frame. After installing the plug-in, you can test it by adding cf: in front of any URL from the address bar.

IE users can take advantage of Javascript performance improvements to make your apps faster and more responsive. After installing the plug-in, bookmark cf:http://mail.google.com/mail/ to speed up Gmail in Internet Explorer.

Why do i have to write cf: every time i want to go to any site? Why not make it optionable to make it enabled all the way?

you've got to admit, Google IS making sense here. They're pretty damn smart, helping IE and having their own browser and all.

So that the users got annoyed and start using the original Google Chrome ultimately.

^Haha.. it sounds almost true.. if it was too well integrated inside IE, people would rather use IE than the actual Chrome.

npw if only you could use chrome's webkit inside of firefox. then it would be able to use it's own rendering engine, trident (ietab) and then webkit(chrome!)
that would so rock!

Well, it is a very annoying addon in IE if you have to type something before every url you go to, to take advantage of the actual addon.. Pretty useless addon to me...
I want to have it enabled of all time, and if not then its just "Good bye, Chromed Internet Explorer"

This is shitty! ( I mean the message in Google Wave ). Why there's no Opera? And why you mustn't use IE? That's not good step. <_<

Amazing work done by Google. My parents use IE for some reason. Now they will be able to load Gmail faster.

continue at your own peril

also, google chrome frame seems to be targeted at developers. Us users really can't to anything to change settings for this so-called IE addon.
