Well I'm not certain but I might be getting an Apple PowerBook G4 15" SuperDrive. I am wondering if any of you know CHEAP websites that sell Apple stuff and is avalable in the UK. Thanks for any help you can give me. Oh and also brand new :) .

Edit: I know I can search Google but I figure since you are all or most of you are Mac addicts I just though I would ask you :P .

Edit Two: Ok I've found this website that give you PowerBook for £20 for info on how it works click here. Anyone else belive this?

Personally, I'm a real Mac Addict, So I'll always go 4 the powerbook, :P .... if u get a MAC with 512megs... u can use VirtualPC and use all the windows features (except games)... Mac has better quality, ease-of-use, Panther is built on UNIX, it has superior features, amazing graphics, sleek and perfect style.. (Aqua VS, icon, screensavers etc)... they is FAST user switching... FileVault, iChat, Mail , and HARDLY any viruses in macintosh systems!

This is all Apple and I can say: "A mac can do anything that a PC does but better"

Nothing against Apple, but heres the deal.

Really think about your new PC 'cause your gonna have it for a while.

Don't just get an Apple to say "I have an Apple, whoohoo!"

Think about what your going to use it for. :)

it is bcuz Mac hardware is expensive

1. PCs are cheap so schools may buy it and so ppl are gonna start using PC. [cuz sometimes your homework and stuff. {even tho lots of university use macs}
2. PC hardware is cheap and more available in addition to easily upgradable
3. Softwares ;)
im sure if you go and ask general ppl, they will hav pcs

Macs had the functions we have now 20 years ago only more expensive. Macs are usually used for buisness (ex. grafics design)

i think i would get an iMac G5 or an iBook when i start making money
iBook's only $1700.00CAD (normal if you ask me cuz i got a PC a year ago and including the 15 inch LCD [1024x768] and it wuz a bit over 1000 dollars without the cababilities of iMac) and besides, by the time comes they would b much more cheaper

 @Bourne BTW
i got a used dell laptop for about 85 dollars,
It has Win XP pro installed on it and it runs smoothly and fast even tho its only a p3. so consider do u actually need that much

it has a 80 gig hd, intel p3, 128mb ram.
if u actually need that much get powerbook, it looks cool or lesser, get iBOOK.
for windows, id suggest toshiba, or sony vaio. sonys are pretty good espiecially if u have their MD walkman and/or digital camera :woot:

Actually most schools are getting imacs and stuff at least the schools around here are and trust me they arent high on funding. PCs are just the smarter path because so many more casual applications and such are for windows and not mac.

I can agree with ALnuts about the schools. At my college the English Lab uses MAC's(they mostly do papers and some Graphics Editing in there) and the regular Lab uses PC's(used for everything else). PC's are probably the best way to go basically for its practicality when looking for software and other things. MAC's can get a tad bit expensive when you consider what is needed. MAC's are a preference,if that's what you want and your parents can afford it,then go for it :D

I personally prefer Windows at this point easy and better for me. (Y)
