AVG beta testers are notified by e-mail that AVG Internet Security 9 beta is available for testing. You can signup for beta testing here.

The latest version is AVG Internet Security 9.0 Beta Build 646a1653.

will this ruin iTunes or delete my user32.dll?

I love AVG. Sure, they made a few mistakes, but i'm cool. It's still the best free AV out there for me.

I love AVG. Sure, they made a few mistakes, but i'm cool. It's still the best free AV out there for me.


Unfortunately, my opinion of the product is way too prejudiced. Their mistakes cost me dearly once. (Frankly speaking, this no-good, second-rate, pathetic excuse for an AV let slip a common virus and that very nearly fried my hard disk). I won't touch it even if they offered me their premium version on a platter (a disc really but you know) Hopefully its good news for AVG fanboys. :)

Today I got an email from AVG Technologies for removing the download link. Craig Kensek isn't pleased by seeing the private beta version floating on the web. Therefore now we can only discuss about it but can't share the link.

The file was hosted on avg.com
Why they sent the email, instead of changing the location of the file?
