This is exactly how your command propmt should look like for this to work

C:\Windows\System32\dism \online \add-package \packagepath:c:/"lp/lp.cab"

change the part in the parantheses to the folders the lp.cab file is in.

Your backslashes should be forward slashes (or you will get the Error: 87).

C:\Windows\System32\dism /online /add-package /packagepath:c:/lp/lp.cab

(I guesss somebody else already noticed and posted this, sorry).

I've tried everything with no results I created a folder in c drive and put the Ip file in there

then my command prompt looks as follows


dism /online /add-package /packagepath:c:\Ip\Ip.cab

someone please help me!!

I created a file call Ip and put it in C drive with the IP.cab in it

then I proceed to type the following after opening command prompt in search



C:\Users\Donald>dism /online /add-package /packagepath:c:\Ip\Ip.cab



then it says

an error occurred trying to open c:/Ip/Ip.cab Error 0*8007003

Error:3

The system cannot find the path specified.

Okay I found th esolution for all your problems guys.

1. Download the MUI for your Language. Example i would the ENGLISH language i need the en-US package.
2. You can get your MUI LP here; http://www.winkeyfin...nguage-pack.php
Note: I download the en-us package on D:\lp.cab
3. After Download do you need the following to type in the CMD (Run As Administrator):
DISM /Online /Add-Package /PackagePath:D:\lp.cab
bcdedit /set {current} locale en-US
bcdboot %WinDir% /l en-US

4. Remove from the Registry the ru-RU language settings (CMD->regedit.exe)
>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->SYSTEM->CurrentControlSet->Control->MUI->UILanguages

6. REBOOT the OS.
7. Enjoy the englishWindows 7 Professional.

Here's how you change the language on Welcome, login, logout and shutdown screens:
Open Control Panel
Click Change display language under Clock, Language and Region (Control Panel Category view),
or click Region and Language (Control Panel Icon View)
Click the Administrative tab
Click Copy settings button
Check both boxes under Copy your current settings to
