This post shud win something. Sounded like Borat to me ...
You know how hard I'm trying not to comment on some of the posts, since it would not be fair. But it looks like I missed out on Windows 3.7 and 97!!! Damn, where was I?
But let the posts be there, all of them, so that I might pick some that I ridiculously enjoyed reading the most. A little fun at the end of a workday doesn't hurt anyone!
I can't help thinking that this must be the work of one of my countrymen! (I'm Indian by the way...). This sounds a lot like Indian English
(hope ppl take it in the right spirit)
Thanks you, Abhi, for that kind heart! I desperately need 7 but am not willing to cough up the dough as i bought vista out of compulsion only like 6 months back!
My favourite feature about Windows 7? Well, When vista came out, I could not install it to my desktop right away simply because i had 512 mb ram. As i wasn't willing to install those super light weight Vista Ultimate (1 cd? wonder how they squeezed it in), i had to go without.
I have a laptop now with 3 gigs of ram, but I am happy that MS learned their lessons and Seven can install on a 512 mb ram system and run smoothly. Thats efficient coding and that i think is a rather nice thing about 7 apart from the oft-repeated Superbar and Aero Peek/snap features.
Also, I am a supporter of labels organisation of gmail. If u ask me, I would rather not have folders at all and just organise stuff by attributing labels, because, folders are quite rigid and i often find myself thinking that a particular file really belongs to more than one folder. The Label approach eliminates the need to duplicate the file and one can get the desired effect by simply attributing more than one labels to that file. The closest way to achieve that till now are shortcuts which i place in the folders where i think its applicable. But I find this approach rather cumbersome. Now, in Seven, with Libraries, labels have been implemented partly.
I have one more but i am withholding that one so that others may get a chance to post it. I'll post it if no one else does at the end of the contest.
Hope the best Winmatrixcian wins! (oh screw it... i hope i win
). Fingers crossed!
