You can clearly see in the screenshot that Windows 7 is activated, 85 days ahead of it's general release!

Things haven't changed all that much since Windows XP. Microsoft still can't stop pirates. ISS reports that today Microsoft's Windows Genuine Advantage just failed every paying Windows 7 customer and customers to be. An advantage I’m sure all those people who pre-ordered Windows 7 sees very clearly now.

P.S. Don't post any "how to" guide in the comments. That would be illegal.

Update: Microsoft blacklists Windows 7 OEM key used in activation cracks

You can't stop pirates, just slow them down! This is like a cat and mouse game. The mouse will always find ways to get to the cheese.

Brings me to a joke.

Once there was a guy who was approaching a stop sign at an intersection. The guy didn't stop, but instead slowed down and kept driving. After he crossed the intersection, a policeman pulled him over and asked him "Why didn't you stop at the stop sign?", the guy replied "Well, there were no cars and I didn't want to waste and time". So the policeman went back to his car and pulled out a police batton and started to beat the guy. The policeman then asked "Do want me to stop or slow down?"

Also, this type of activation method is still hard to use. Custom builders cannot use this OEM activation hack, only pre-built OEM pc's with SLIC enabled BIOS' on their motherboard

Hahah, you are so right. ;)

(This Captcha thing keeps on irritating me)

By the way, if this is the final Windows 7, why is in the About Windows, version 6.1?

Isn't it similar to Vista's OEM hack?

Because that is the kernel version. Windows 7 is supposed to be the 7th consumer version of Windows. It has NOTHING to do with the kernel version. Windows 2000 is NT 5.0, XP is NT 5.1, Server 2003 is NT 5.2, Vista and Server 2008 is 6.0 and Windows 7 and Server 2008R2 is 6.1.

What this indicates, is that on the kernel level, that this is a "minor" update. Vista, on the other hand, was a MAJOR update to the kernel, just as Windows 2000 was a major update. This "minor" and "major" stuff has nothing to do with changes that you and I would see, but rather changes developers would see.

im getting 900+ seeders on he x64 :D already finished and burned x86 (with activator...which many confirm to have worked with x86 and x64)

then again, if i was earning myself...i would probably get a technet subscription and do this legally, but since i dont and can't (in my country) so i dont wanna waste my dad's money on something i can get for free. I am waiting for the day I buy Windows legally...it will be a relief, then again maybe not thanks to a lot of activation bugs :P

Dont feel ripped off, this will be just like vista, they will patch it and you'll be stuck worrying about the update until it's cracked again. Enjoy the worry free feeling of a paid OS

A hacker named HAZAR has released a small Windos 7 activator (172KB) by using the same OEM license key explot.

lol.. not all country has the same price as in your country.. in US, probably it will cost $50 but in other cost up to 200++ in their currency.. differences in currency making people have to use pirated software coz it is very2 expensive to buy an original especially in Asian country...
