A few days ago Rafael found that Windows 7 users can customize logon screen background and use custom images. This functionality was probably designed for OEM manufactures to include custom images for Windows 7 in pre-configured computers, but users could include their own images, thanks to the registry file provided by Rafael.

Now here comes Tweaks.com Logon Changer for Windows 7. It provides an easy way to customize the logon screen background with just a few clicks. Simply download the free application, run it and click Change Logon Screen.

Users don't need to worry about the 245KB limit imposed by Microsoft.

Yeah, Vishal and I were working on one, but due to them beating us to the punch, we stopped development.

Windows 7 FTW!

Quick question though... will this work with Vista? - No it will not.

Yeah, laziness is the ONLY reason Microsoft aren't implementing this.

Hmm...they should start making a real Personalization Section, for boot screens and logons...guess I'm asking for too much...

As I know you can change the logon screen via the control panel in the starter edition and some more editions. So this is for the Premium and Ultimate editions, isn't it?
