Before someone says anything

Home Basic will be targeted at netbooks so most of these features will be unneeded and starter won't even be available in the US.

Any computer nowadays will run aero.

Home Premium is really the only version that makes sense to get. Below that Microsoft guts it and above it just adds services that are better done by freeware apps anyhow.

Home Premium is what I actually use.
But more people seed Ultimate so I get that :D

Windows 7 will be out the next time I buy a laptop (2 years)... so most likely Home Premium.

Ultimate, since I'm building a rig which will (hopefully) be finished by the end of this year.
If I build a nice rig, I might as well get Ultimate :P .
