Nice release and it runs good on Win7. But there are certain combinations of effects that dont work together.
Possible - I stopped fighting with that, as some thing just can't be forced through api like to many changes in window style.

And also another thing is Nimi continues to consider the desktop as a regular window.
I will add selector then - it's handle is found via class and used for further recognition. Maybe they changed something again :/

And this creates problems when I apply some wallpaper effect, then what happens is the window-effects start giving problems and all windows kinda freeze up.
I think I know what You mean - I got similar bug few times and it was mostly: api(thanks to what I've found few very interesting "disturbances on the force" I will work on) or pictures used for wallpaper generation - I've managed to put some fix on that and didn't get any more similar occurrences. Still it might happen and I will continue to trying to solve that meter.

I think u need to separate the modules for wallpaper-effects and window-effects. If I were u, I wud do separate dlls and call them from the main exe.
They will be still inside. DLL is not a problem - problem is .NET that sometimes goes crazy overloads and stuff like that, example: picture highlight plugin tested on one same picture, no changes in code, gave error when it shouldn't and then on second try started to work just fine O_O

Also can u avoid using the registry and use an ini file or similar. Just for portability's sake

It don't use registry - setting in AppData\Nimi\

But surely this is far lot better than the last Nimi release and works beautifully in XP.
Actually that was how I wanted 0.7 too look like - but from lack of time

The rewrite worked for u I see ...
Replaced hook with timer(move detection is kind of slower, but I've managed to save some CPU power), rest as always.

Very good job. And I am excited to see where u take it from here.
As I always say: it can only get better ;P (except 0.7 xD ;P *joke*)

I think it is surely good enough to be on the frontpage.
Published ~18h ago - still no one got interested in it during whole day.
So I've even made video, added on DiggIt...etc. result: simple registry app is more popular and more people know about it :/
Sorry to say but my next application will be "Something" which will do "something" and it will be chance "it will be something You were just looking for" unless "still it will be something" (btw, I'm serious about that

I have already icon design in my mind...) ;P
P.s.: on Visuals - I'm developing
something (

) that we might say suits strategy "make it work for Yourself", will add it in nearest future
