I managed to find a solution. The problem is that the language files for Photoshop were incorrectly installed. If you want to correct it, download the file Locales.zip from http://ifile.it/4paqklh/Locales.zip

Then, unzip the Locales folder at C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\ and that's it!

Worked Perfectly, thanks.

I concur! Been tearing my hear out for two days trying to get Master Collection CS4 up and running on Windows 7 Pro. This corrected it. THANK YOU!!!!

Wow...no clue how you knew that...but worked great..thanks

In my case I had to put the locales file here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Installers\faf656ef605427ee2f42989c3ad31b8\Adobe Photoshop CS4 (64 Bit). But it works like a charme (once I found out where to put the files in my situation.

Thanks alot to you to i would never have found the folder! Cause in my case too it wasn't just c:/programfiles/adobe/photoshopcs4

I had to put the files in

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Installers\4db064343401efd6449f33f8411c14b\Adobe Photoshop CS4 (64 Bit)\

and there was no "Locales\" folder there. Thank you so much.

Just wanted to add an entry to keep this thread alive. I was thinking there was some issue running 32bit CS4 on Windows 7 64bit until finding this posting.

Odd that I could not find this same information on Adobe.com even after Windows 7 being released nearly a year ago.

Many thanks for the information!!!!!

Awesome.... It actually works..
hehehe... i unzipped it and forgot to take the directory out from the defaul "after Unzip" automatic directory.
Although I realized the mistake and pulled the actual folder out and pastes in Program Files folder.
So in the end it works... just a bit slow though. My comp is a 2.4 ghz 3Gb ram Windows 7 ultimate.
Any pointers as to how to increase the PS speed.

I have the same problem on Photoshop CS4

some of the application components are missing from the application directory.....

Please let me know if you have found a solution

Tried reinstalling, downloading updates and still not working.

I had CS3 on before and that is fine tried installing another PC and it works fine???

I managed to find a solution. The problem is that the language files for Photoshop were incorrectly installed. If you want to correct it, download the file Locales.zip from http://ifile.it/4paqklh/Locales.zip

Mirror 1
Mirror 2
Mirror 3

Then, unzip the Locales folder at C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\ and that's it!

To Guest-setaer: Thank you!

Well, I just installed the Adobe CS4 Master collection. I run Adobe Premiere Pro, it works fine, I run After Effects, it runs fine, I run Photoshop, I get this, "Some of the application components are missing from the Application directory, Please reinstall the application." At the end of the installation, it said that the English language packs were missing from some of the programs. How do I fix this?

I have installed Master Collection, but I chose not to install a few components (Flash Builder and Flash Proffessional) during the installation. Is there any way I can install these components without uninstalling the entire Master Collection?
Thanks!
