It's a great program! Not only for having more features than the normal Movie Maker, but also for being portable. The only thing that gets to me is that you guys didn't add "De-pixelation." It's a pain trying to find a free program that offers that effect. Virtual Dub does have an add-on for that, but the program crashes on me tons of times.

Lord Devrexster,

Thanks a lot for Windows movie maker portable, but I encounter a problem when I unzip it.

I have got ultimate zip (free version) and each time it refuses to unzip some files. I can't even find the runonce file you mention in your explanations.
I have donwloaded it several times, to make sure, but it's always the same. I really don't understand. Would you have an idea on this problem?

Thanks

@mcgw26 AVG always gives me an alert when I download this file. (I'm sure it's a false warning.)
So it might be due to your antivirus. Disable it before extracting the file.

I have done it. I had the warning of my antivirus and I disabled it. Now it's just a question of unzipping it correctly. That's my problem. It always indicates errors in the process. Can it be a problem with ultimate zip?

Why don't you install WinZip 12 trail and test it yourself?

Uum I have a problem, I want to make a movie clip with just pictures and music. But when I drag in JPEG files or any kind of picture for that matter and I play my timeline all I get is a blackscreen only text effects are shown and video files. wmm should be able to play video and pictures alike shouldn't it? I'm running this on xp btw

This is great but I wish it had the native mpeg-2 support that the Vista version has.

I have extracted the folder already but I can't seem to complete it. Maybe I did something wrong. I will do it again and again.

Works great for me under Win7.
However, I noticed that I have many more profiles that I can use to save video using Vista.. like higher data rates.
Where can I get them from?

"The thing that Runonce.exe does is, it registers the dlls, and changes some values in "Transition.txt" file to make the transitions work. That is all that it does."

What are these changes, exactly? It's easy enough to create simple batch and reg files to do these sorts of things which will be much smaller than the 42K UPX and won't trigger virus alerts.

pal, only one problem... the preview screen does not preview! It shows the effects and collections files, but when I drag'em to the timeline... only black screen! :(

I'm running Win XP 64... maybe it's the problem! Is it?

Thanks for the effort,

Dan
