As evident from this topic Microsoft made an installable version of Movie Maker available for download for Windows seven.

But it is still a stripped down version. Features removed from original movie maker include the video capturing ability from devices like a dv camera etc.

So to solve this problem, here is what I got here. A portable version of Movie Maker compatible with All builds of Windows 7, Vista and XP. ;) And WITH ALL AVAILABLE FEATURES

DOWNLOAD (size : 4.6 mb)

:new: Now With 147 Transitions and 76 effects !! :new:

Instructions on Download page

Credits to fediaFedia ( http://fediafedia.deviantart.com ) for his Wmm2Res.dll

Screenshot: As u can see, the "Capture from Device" option is available :D

NOTE: POSSIBLE ANTIVIRUS WARNINGS

Some people are reporting that their antivirus goes crazy about "Runonce.exe" when they download this, well plz note that its packed with UPX exe compressor. Unfortunately most virus "people" use it to pack their stuff too. So their antivirus panicked when it saw the same packer. The thing that Runonce.exe does is, it registers the dlls, and changes some values in "Transition.txt" file to make the transitions work. That is all that it does.

The version I am running on my XP SP3 is 2.1.4026.0 which is the same as the one in the screenshot.

I am assuming there are no gains in installing this one unless there are extra add-ons, features.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong?

Thanks,

:D It worked perfectly on my new Windows 7 build 7057 boot. Lord Devrexster, I just have a suggestion. Could you also incorporate fediaFedia's MM skin (resource) in this portable version?: http://www.winmatrix...showtopic=17180
It would look more awesomer i guess. :D Anyway thanks alot.
