My first post here, so bear with me.
I have a retail version of XP MCE. I installed all the updates and rollups to bring my MCE up to Build_5.1.2715.3011. I followed all the instructions in the readme to patch the files, and merged the registry entries. When i start Media Center, it loads the Start Menu, but when I use the keyboard, remote, or mouse to begin navigation, it freezes, and this error window pops up:
EHShell.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services
Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.
Process id=0xff4 (4084), Thread id=0xba4 (2980)
Click OK to terminate the application.
Cluck CANCEL to debug the application.
The problem is, it loads, and looks fine, but when I try to actually use MC, it pops up that error. Can you help me?

You don't need to uninstall it/them manually, instead just let the tool do the job for you by simply running it. And you only need to reinstall 1.1 later (+ 1.1 SP1) and 3.5, not 2.0 as you have only them installed beforeSo basically, I need to uninstall any .Net framework I have, and then reinstall them? I only use 1.1 and 3.5. Do I need to install 2.0?

@ Hello kAtz93 and jdhenshall, sorry for long time to reply, i've just read your posts, just use dotnet clean up tool as i said above, it usually worked for any .net frameworks errors in most cases. If not then maybe the best /"easiest" way is you need to fix/reinstall your Windows, maybe (since there are many possibilities for it). Good luck anyway.
