This is old news in Aus, but people in other countries might not know about it:

The Australian Goverment has started a "Education Revolution", what does that mean??

EVERY Australian student (kinda right though to uni) will get

Half price off:
-Pens, book and stuff like that
-Computer and laptops (so if you buy a $1000, come tax time you will get $500 back)
-even internet access !! ( 1mps brodband for $30 !! )

also every one from years 9 - 12 will get a free laptop to use at school !!

?? Can i take the laptop home | YES!
?? What happers to it after yer 12 | You get to keep your free laptop

P,S: Do any other contries offer this ??

Well, here, in Hungary, Your family needs to be half dead or you need to be a great liar to get something free or cheaper... <_<

I'm a medical Student so you could imagine how much I need to pay for my books and other things every semester.

And when I finish this university, I would get as much as every other people, who finished a university, like "Hey I finished literature... Yeah... I got as much salary as fresh medical doctor... Yeah"

This is the main reason I want to leave this country as fast as I can.

No one in my family has gotten this yet ... <_< But our school did get a lot of new computers, and I already have my own so I don't mind. It is a good plan though

Two wongs cant make one white, "I heard that this is a pop deragotry phrase in aus." so will this student thing only apply to caucasians??? How do aussies view immigrants from third world countries? does this eduaction thing apply to them? (double standards?)

Unless university is free there, I doubt I'll go to uni there as they don't do most of the courses I want to do.

Is this what ur writing holds true for Australian International students.......I dont think so these might be for the local Australian students......I hope I am wrong.

I am a international student in Sydney and here are some of the things I liked and disliked.....thats just my point of view no offence:

Good..

>Education standards and facilities
>awesome city
>might get software discounts from Uni...

Bad..

>No concession on public transport for international students in NSW.....paying double of what the local students pay is the worst part..
>cost of living

Overall its a better place to study and live .......
