This is just an ad for the YeoWorks Operating System. I'm planning on a video, instead of screen shots.

I'll keep you all posted. This is the new and only thread for the YeoWorks Operating System.

I don't like the name.
When I keep trying to type it I keep writing "YeoSoft" I don't know why, but it feel's Microsoftish, and I know its not and is not meant to be.
But I REALLY don't like the name.

I was expecting something like:

Yanix
Nixorn
YaOS

Or something flashly and along those lines.

It's his OS, so it's his call.
I like it myself.
Nice Asian pic, i wonder if that is a hint to how the OS is, calm, serene, peaceful...

"Yeo" like "Neo"

The name "Yeo" has history with my life. Not going to get into that right now though :)

WOW! I'm going to have to look at that. That came very close to my OS name.

Wow! This dates back to 1990 before Windows 95!!!

Good Find

GeOS dates back to 1990, correct, but the screenshot I posted is from a 1998 build.

yeah, i have it on floppy somewhere. there is also an early version of xWindows out there that ran from DOS, had it's own window manager, and could run windows 3.1 apps, supposedly, with out windows installed.

I'm still going to keep the name of my OS even though it comes close to that name. The OS name was "GeOS" not GeoWorks so I'm straight. Still, I'm good 'cause the name is different and I didn't get it from that.
