So, I just went over to the Cairo website to expect another news on "What went wrong and why Cairo will be delayed" but to my surprise I found that the private milestone was released. Well, still not happy looking through the forums as CAIRO Crashed for almost all of the chosen testers, I've seriously abandoned hope, but for those who care head on over to CAIRO SHELL to check on the latest news!

I seriously abandoned hope many months before, but might be interesting to see what's cairo now, a shell replacement or just some launcher app

The shell replacement is so thorough, it is almost a completely different os. As far as I know it only works on XP, and that doesn't even work yet... lol.

It works with, XP, Vista, and windows 7.

It has been leaked, but its still missing a lot of functionality, but the concept is fine, and for a M1, its really good.

Look very nice  But explorer background is black, so I think it is not comfortable when we work in windows. whatever, I will wait for Cairo Shell when it release

OK, just tried it. It works, but it isn't the "revolution" everybody was waiting for...
It's basically just a top menubar (osx type) and a buggy taskbar tab integration.

The startup is really slow, the lists are functional but don't offer any windows shell commands like delete etc, just open. And overall I don't think i could get used to this...

Edit: It crashed my explorer upon exiting

It looks like a clash of Linux and OSX <_<
Is it worth using?
