Yeah, got my copy from TechNet.
What you missed is, there are also Release Notes, Windows Driver Kit Release 7.0.7000.1, A notice from MPEG LA, LLC about the H.264/AVC Visual Standard(Although not important for general public) and an update for the reported MP3 bug (KB961367).
Quote To protect your MP3 files
1. Before you install this Beta release, back up all MP3 files that might be accessed by the computer, including those on removable media or network shares.
2. Install the Beta release of Windows 7; download and install the Update to Windows 7 Beta (KB961367) located on this page.

When the public beta comes out, would it be better to download the 32 or 64 bit?

If your system supports, definitely go for x64, since there are many advantages of 64-bit. If you have 4GB or more RAM, another reason for it.

Yes, 7000.x86fre.winmain_win7beta081212-1400, the same build created and compiled December 12,2008 at 2 PM.

Well, it has been out for almost 2 weeks now, although ::unofficially::
So I guess you might already know what's changed.
Lesser bugs for sure.
Application compatibility is much better now than 6801.
Or you want me to attach the Release Notes, which do not contain much information about 'What Has Changed', simply because they don't intend to.
