Well first of all i love Windows 7, its fast, neat, clean and all some what perfects.

But....

few things i have issues with, maybe you guys can help me out with these.

1. File copy-bad speed for transfer, i dont know how the "7 faster than xp, vista" review scored 7 faster in file copy. but for me its very slow

2. Media Center
Good
-The interface + more playback features etc

Bad-My main reason i dont have windows 7 as my main os, is Media Center. I have xbox 360 and i like to use the extender feature alot.
1. The whole interface is slow and laggy on xbox, on os 7 it runs nice. (anyone else have this issue?)
2. The controls for the playback have been changed, and they are terrable.
3. Xbox no longer picks up any AVI files under the video section. Doesn't matter if you are using regular shared folders to watch media on xbox or using Media Center (xbox). However if you add the AVI file under "C:\Users\Public\Recorded TV\Sample Media" xbox and media center picks it up? kind of strange

3. File share-I have tried a few things, but i cant get Windows 7 to share any of the information or files with Vista.

now my question, do you guys have any solutions to this problems in windows 7? any workaround. I really want this to be my main OS, but these problems are causing me to use Vista.

Now i know all about that its the beta and everything, but i am just asking for a little help or someone giving my review.. no fighting or arguing.

1) Its not optimized for 360 use yet.
2) Thats an opinion and your spelling is " terrable".
3) See Number one
3) Can you count? I have no problem

P.S what build/version do you have.

Well since its derived from Vista, I expect Seven to be also slow in transferring files. Vista regardless of the updates installed is still slow compared to other OSes out there I tried when transferring files. Be it Flash Drives, network drives, etc.

They said it was fixed. Well I cannot see the difference. Imagine at times it can go to 2MB/s. Fedora on my drives transfer at 20 - 48 MB/s.

But we'll, I might as well download that 7. It seems pretty good basing on what I have read on this forum so far.

But in my system it was transferring about a rate of 55-60MB/s..But anyways think that it is still in Beta,So we need to wait for sometime until it gets fully moulded as a complete OS...

1. I find file operations (especially deleting) in 7 to be slower than in Vista.

2. I don't use Media Center.

3. Try selecting the file/folder you want to share, press Share with on the command bar and. choose Specific people... Type 'Everyone' in the box (without qutoes) and press Add and then Share. See if it works then. If the computer doesn't appear under Network in vista, press start, type \\<Name or IP of 7 Computer> and press enter (without the <>). You may need to login with the 7 account in this way.

For streaming to the Xbox try out TVersity or VLC Media Player instead. They have better more robust features and work with any media format.
