you know, this seems to have wonderful potential, but i have to admit. I have never got a single version of this to run for me. I get the "control panel" and i see the buttons to click, but in 0.5 there was no descriptions of what each button did, i had to blindly click on them, hoping for something.
downloading and trying this one out, hope it works ok.
Hmm in RC1 there wasn't descriptions, but RC2 brought many changes - and now You can see Nimi 0.6 RC1
and You know - word hope is popular nowadays

(as well as changes XD)

Wonderful program, I actually haven't found any serious bugs in it.
The only thing that annoys me is when you have "Wobbly Windows" it doesn't it "wobble" properly, I know that its intentional, but I much prefer it if it ACTUALLY wobbled rather than just made black boarder around it.
Hmm black border? I noticed unexpected (for me) behaviour while using DWM - or more precisely accurate to it's task. Otherwise it works as intended.

P.S
I would start testing it in Windows 7 if I were you, it would save you the trouble for when it is released, If you want, I'll do your Win7 testing.
1. I don't have Win7 - and I don't think I could be beta tester, I need stable OS to use _-_ However, I wouldn't mind if I would get legal OS from Them

in order to bring ever more glory to it.

2. I don't assume there are any serious api changes, as AFAIK it's designed to show great compatybility with previous releases. Still, if one wish to report some bug one can feel free to do it

good idea but...it does have some bugs...and that makes me sad......
im sure u'll fix them tho!

In most cases "bugs" are just result of non-undersanding of OS phisics, and VB.net, api limitations. Though I try to make everything as much pleasurable to use I can.
hmm however, sometimes some alghoritm bug might appear - it happens from time to time XD

There are problems with layered windows like docks etc. U need to exclude layered windows.
In options You can find exclude dialog - above website/license icon.

BTW, transparency effects are awesome and VERY stable. The window effects need work though.
There are first that were developed xD - and still as before, some effects can be pushed any further due to both limitations, or lack of idea how to make them better (not to mention - I assume some effects don't have top-priority...for example I think I will leave "snow effect" till next X-Mas ^O^'...also I just prefer some effects to leave as simple & minimalistic I can)

may I tell u to hurry .... its only a matter of time before this app gets noticed on a world wide scale (its just too good) and things generally go out of hand once all that hulla-bula happens.

I know from experience. Plz hurry !! I hope u get my point....
I've nothing against going it world wide. If I could describe main Nimi goal in few words I would say: easy for everyone to use, free, small & minimalistic. So far mostly Spanish language countries were interested in Nimi, some Chinese ones as well.
I though about making site - but as being non-profit student T_T I decided to leave it as it is for now. It worked for past few months, so it should work for future as well.
I think I know what You mean - but still it's to early to be worried about that, if "wobbly, jelly windows" effect - even so simple - didn't make great impact I've nothing to be aware of I guess.
For upcoming months I plan to work more on shell part of Nimi(already used some code of my, as I used to call "Nimiberry" idea), as to be blunt it was planned for 0.5. But as past experiences shows - source code that was postponed from release was usually added after after two version changes.
