One of the most annoying things about Windows 7's libraries is that there is no option to change the icon of custom libraries.
However, you can still assign custom icons to libraries by editing them in notepad.
Libraries are actually xml files so its pretty easy to edit them.
Navigate to %userprofile%/appdata/roaming/microsoft/windows/libraries. Open a notepad window and drag the library whose icon you want to change into that window.
Add a new line under <isLibarryPinned>. Type <iconReference>path to icon</iconReference>, where path to icon is the actual path to your icon without quotes or anything else.

Save the library. The icon should change instantly in any explorer windows.

Example of a library with a custom icon.
