I'm gussing when he changes the dword key in the registry, it goes through a dll porbably like wmploc.dll or anything that would probably store the background. From changing it from 0 (Default) to another acceptable key (7) it will go through the dll and apply the background.

Or maybe it's the background they might use in build 6933

Thx for the good tips, btw any chance to port real WMP 12 (i guess it's still beta) to Vista? Has someone ever tried it? (Or just wait for MS to officially release it for Vista/Xp SP3 as well as WMP 11 for Xp before...)

I don't think WMP 12 will be released for XP. If history is any indication....

IE 8 is officially available for Xp as well as IE 6 and WMP 9 (even DirectX 9.0b) are still available for Windows 98 SE. Why WMP 12 won't also be for Xp SP3?

Microsoft could use it as a marketing gimmick to get people to upgrade, afterall they're already trying to draw people away from XP.
