I was gonna post this, but I didn't know if you posted this already.

It's weird that MS is releasing updates on a national holiday, though. Aren't they supposed to be closed?

No only government-owned businesses.

Thanx for the news, switching to vista.

I have this vista installation which i decided to keep "perfectly fresh" and it runs like a dream without all those updates. While the other vista installation is already polluted even though it's up to date...

I just read on PC World that Microsoft Security Bulletin MS08-068 was designed to resolve a security vulnerability in Microsoft Server Message Block (SMB) Protocol, which was initially reported to the Redmond company in 2001. It meas M$ took 7 years to patch this vulnerability.

Perhaps not a high priority?

Alot of these things that ms doesn't patch and people complain about seem to be really unlikely exploits or only happen with complete computer illiteracy

I'm sure Apple has long standing vulnerabilities as well all that matters is its fixed now.

phoenix_abhi: Good point, I've not seen him online for 2 months, as he did the pre-notes for me, and added more as well.

InlineSkate: Thats the point of this, since I heard that Microsoft were going to release a 'Privacy Patch' (which fails :P) I decided to provide such service to help everyone

winlover_41: LOL! on the wet and sticky bit, Just to let you know, that due to me working and at college (doing Computer Programming :P), the updates are delayed by possibly a day.
