Tom Warren has picked up on some nice demos of Windows 7 this morning at PDC. The new desktop includes a lot of important changes such as a thicker taskbar, improved system tray and no sidebar.

I see some KDE features from linux in there ;) :P

But that "Touch and Gestures" thing is Awesome - I have always wanted these in Windows "natively". And the interface design overall has some more practical and actually useful components than we saw in Vista....

So yeah I am all for it :yes: (Y)

That's cool! taskbar of xp vista looks like the taskbar in the 98 times, there is no diff whatsoever, just the look. but now it's probably better but it can be also hindrance in productivity.

I used to hate it, when I first saw the screenshots...

But with this videos I changed my mind. It's awesome!!!



Anyway, I was waiting for an absolutely new GUI :(

Do you know how much a completely new UI would freak out people?


Many people were put off from Vista from just the slight changes there.

awesome lookin but they stole the zoom in and out function in ie from apples iphone/ipod touch
