


With Windows Vista finally behind us, it's time to turn our attention to the next Windows client release, which is currently codenamed Windows "7", though Microsoft has used other code-names, like "Vienna" and "Windows Seven" in the past.

Boy, who ever gave you that data is wrong. I guess you will need to wait a year longer than that at minimum.windows 7 will be released in 2009 06

That is way too short for them to create a new OS. i think that would be 2011 or 2012, maybe even 2014? But the rumor of Google OS and more market/business afflictions can only say what.Windows 7 going to be major release, bigger than Vista, according to Paul Thurrott . I believe a fully new OS will get released in 2010.Form nothing from Vista or XP
