VISTA XP - THE BEST VISTA STYLE VS FOR WINDOWS XP EVER (LATEST / UPDATED)

PS: If you want more Vista and Windows 7 applications and features on XP, then please also visit (Recommended):

:) Hello everybody. I hope this can be useful if there's anybody who still needs it :

- VistaXp theme by KOL for Windows Xp -> Full MSStyles / Skin / VS + wallpaper + Segoe UI font etc (all as original from Kol), Final Version, 2,23 Mb
The classic, coolest and most famous Vista-like VS / theme skin for Windows Xp, giving it a new "identity". As based on Vista Beta 1 2005, In my opinion even it looks better than both official MS Zune and Royal ones (as "Black Xp"). Special Credits to Kol and Studio Twenty Eight, (well, we all know it's "very rare", even in the past...coz...etc) so i hope it's still OK to post here...

Note: Make sure you have patched uxtheme.dll (thx to Raphael and Liskiller-WinMatrix) before applying this skin. Get the patch here for free. You can also use another (shareware) skinning apps such as "old" StyleXp or TuneUp Styler as apart of TuneUp utilities etc:

Download Vista Xp theme skin for Xp by KOL the latest updated version (full/original, 2,23 Mb, Fixed and updated some bitmap "webview" pics issue etc.):

Again, full credits to Kol and (EDIT -> also Microsoft for original Luna binary). Enjoy :D cya!

Added: Window Blinds Skin (Supports Transparency/Blur*)->Only if you have Window Blinds 5/6 installed (Xp and Vista**):

Download VistaXp by Kol WB V3.1 (Window Blinds Skin, supports transparency/blur for WB 5/WB 6 on Xp / Vista), 3, 44 Mb:

http://www.4shared.c...V30_by_Kol.html

* Blur (border) only supported by Window Blinds 6
** Only Window Blinds 6 fully compatible with Vista (not 5)

Edit: Sorry for the stupid typo, it's actually version 3.1 (the latest one by Kol!) not 3.0. Please pardon me  i have already renamed it here, but however i'll still keep the same (old) name and download location bcoz i'm too lazy to re-upload the same file only to change its name from 3.0 to 3.1. Anyway, cheers! :D .

PS: To apply transparent/blurred skin, please select "Glass Beta 1" or "Glass Beta 2" in Window Blinds Configuration panel. It also maybe more practical to select "Vista-ize Me".

(similar thread on another forum Here)

Special Bonus: "Vista-Xp Ultimate" BootScreen, Hibernate Screen and Logon Screen for Xp + guide/template, yeah you can change hibernate screen in XP too!(you can customize it). They look very matching for this theme imho (additional/optional) -> it will replace old Xp flag with Vista's flag just like below screenshot. Available for XP SP3:

Download bootscreen, hibernatescreen, logon screen:

http://www.4shared.c...creens_etc.html

Bootscreen and hibernate screen only:
http://www.4shared.c...te_Screens.html

As from i.e. "Hibernate Screen on XP" : http://amirsyahrani....on-XP-171307647 for more info etc

and "Get XP Boot Screen and Hibernate Screen with new Vista/Windows 7 Flag" (that replaces the old XP style flag) by AMIRZ/AMIRSYAHRANI, Deviantart + Tutorial, logon screen, etc:
http://amirsyahrani....-Flag-171766090

Anyway long live XP! It's still the best MS operating system i've ever used and it will still be supported by Microsoft and partners until 2014 or even maybe longer (some said 2020), even after Windows 7 came out. Cya... :)

They asked Kol to remove it because it was infringing their copyright, which now makes it Warez

B) Well, I know there will be many controversy about this. As you said, Since they (MS) asked Kol to remove it from distribution (Note: only MS lawyers personally, not Bill, court, or US digital millenium act, BSA etc, so still no legal/official decision about it!) because it looked so similar with Vista Beta 1 about 3 years ago (2005). Since Vista RTM has been officially launched and even so many original Vista apps and binaries (except cracks/keygens/something to "activate") that have been ported to Xp available for free here/on Net without MS' warning (never, and i guess they won't, anymore, except for, again cracks/keygens/something to "activate") as none labelled as "warez" (lol i never support warez/piracy), I just think no problem to post and upload something like it here...(btw so many demands/downloads so far...). Enjoy for free!

Again, WinMatrix Rocks! ;)

I don't suppose you received Kol's permission to make this available, did you? He may have a different opinion than yours (and I'm sure most would respect his opinion).

:( Thx for reminding and warning me mate, you are so kind person and good citizen (btw, also to all, if your opinion is same, if you dont mind, did you download it/similar thing (here or there before)? if not, thx alot i really respect your consistency mate. I dont care you like the theme or not, im not the author and just want to share it here for free and (better) in "easier way but still considered as legal one"/elegant that we are still talking/arguing here. Otherwise so many demands and downloads of it. Thx). Yes you're right, absolutely right, although in my opinion it's still about/on "grey" area here.
i have already included/mentioned full credits to the original author (Kol - Studio Twenty Eight) here and even in the uploaded file even before your post, as you can read and see, as usual (as i have always done when porting/uploading some Vista apps here be4: Told they are MS properties though i never asked MS permission for porting and uploading them here, OMG blame me, shame on me  I always respect MS, Bill, and people but this...).
OK, again, you're absolutely right mate. If then he /WinMatrix has different opinion, i can accept it and i will delete the uploaded files/update/let this thread as he/they want. If it happened, i will also remove all my own threads/uploads (included future plans and updates) of some Vista/Windows apps/3rd party binaries on here/Net/even on my hard disk: Snipping tool, Windows Journal, Sticky Notes, QuickView, ported Powertoys, binaries, Vista Movie Maker and Calendar future/next etc, before MS.... and i will never post/upload (about) them again. Dont worry I will always behave well (all permitted here/there before this, but i will follow the rules/last good examples, always!, if you have also posted/created/uploaded/also downloaded some items with classifications like them, etc, please also follow my next way, please remove yours if they exist even on your hard disk (as i will do). Thx i know If yes, you will certainly do the same way like me. I trust you dude...but up to you :) thx for the consistency).
I just want to share some useful items/ideas in this greatest forum, for each other or just anybody who may still need it (included myself), without taking any personal benefit here and also without breaking the rules and receiving any warning, and so on. I feel ashamed, not deserve to get any respect. Very Sorry and Thx for all your kind inputs here, i will appreciate it/them so much.
To others, dont worry. For now, as i said above, just...Enjoy everybody!! :D (hurry, before late...please read his good post above lol). Cya :)

PS: But, again, as i always believe here...WinMatrix Rocks!!! (as well as his people, or at least most of them...) ;) And i believe Kol also Rocks! (Again, full credits to him), Thx!.

EDIT: If you decompile/open the VistaXp theme files/ resources (as well as most/some of other well known 3rd party VS, i guess) by using Hex or resource editor, you will read some strings and signatures like "Luna", "Microsoft Corporation", etc all about MS properties (please also "read me.txt" file, that not from me). So is this actually "hacked" MS binary? Copyright? doesnt respect the original author/creator? Hey, Did the skins authors ask MS permission? or is there just something like a "convention/truce" between them/us (Is it true? Tolerant? Great, Thank God! yes seems i already know before... )? Who's the real-original author here? Is hacking digital signature still legal (for any file), even if you have included your own "notice" (such as "read me.txt" file above)? So did i before. OK, though I'm stupid, but never ambivalent or even hypocrite, OMG so what should i do legally (fairly)? To find somebody's fault? Too many...Mmmm... Oooo..... :woot: LOL  No i'm not alone, bye!

VistaXp Theme for Windows Xp by Kol :
Again, full credits to Kol and (EDIT -> also Microsoft for original Luna binary). Enjoy

* It's better to post something useful/good here (rather than arguing/useless lol). Of course all should be (assumed) "legal" here (as well as some MS/3rd party files/binaries that usually permitted. Again I never support warez/piracy). Anyhow Good luck! Sorry for too long "Stupid Story"

:) Before it's ported to Vista you can also do it by using Skin Studio and Windows Blinds on Vista (manually convert the VS to WB Skin before applying it on Vista). Or just use this one below (WB only) instead:

Window Blinds Skin (Supports Transparency):

Download VistaXp by Kol WB V3.1 (Window Blinds Skin, supports transparency/blur for WB 5/WB 6 on Xp / Vista), 3,44 Mb:
MD5: 15D2EE45FC9175CFB5D05F4288ACF151

http://www.4shared.c...V30_by_Kol.html

Enjoy :D cya
