Following the free releases of Far Cry, The Suffering and Full Spectrum Warrior, Midway’s 2005 FPS Area-51 is now available as a free ad-supported download.

Plot: The U.S. Army has received a distress signal from Area 51 where a viral outbreak has just shut down the research facility and the automated quarantine procedures have locked all scientific and military personnel inside. A small Special Forces unit including Specialist Ethan Cole of the HAZMAT (hazardous materials) Division is sent to investigate.

well i dl'ed and scanned with norotn, no viruses but it didnt work

installed fine but everytime i launched it it would "stop working"

I got the same warning from Avast.. And the game wouldn't start up... Too bad, looked like fun.. Back to TC:E for me!

lets not start with the AV thing again... i am a Kaspersky fan.. but norton still offers a damn good amount of protection.. check here>> http://www.av-comparatives.org/

and their newer versions dont lag your system like the older versions

Just an opinion. Not sure what I am starting again since this is like my 3rd post. I don't like Norton, used to back in the 3.11 days. I lost there trust in the mid 90's

If anyone finds a good link to area 51 be sure to post please!

It should be same like Far Cry free version. The banner ad will be shown only on the loading screen.

It posts adds before game starts, in between levels and when you exit game..... Personally very annoying but then again it's free...........
