I love the new calculator but I hate the ribbons.

I still prefer keying in commands (keyboard combination) rather than clicking. Anyway, serious artists aren't going to use Paint (though it seems it has new features) and who will use WordPad when other things (some free) exist.

Novices only know Microsoft Word and will definitely look for it (buy it), knowledgeable individuals short of budget will install OpenOffice or Lotus Symphony.

Wow Wordpad finally looks like it's decent. Maybe this time we wont have to buy Word :o.
One thing I dislike is WMP they should have left it transparent as it is right now in Vista but other than that it looks great.

:) Wow, thx for providing some great screenshots of real Window 7 (Milestone) here! I love the ribbon interface (like Office 2007, very practical and looks innovative) on some apps/features. Unfortunately, it seems Windows Explorer doesnt have it (yet?)

yelp.. lol Except this time, I will wait and see how it works before buying it right off hand. Hopefully, I'll have it dual booting with my OS or have enough apps for my OS and not have to use it at all. At least, MS is moving in the right direction.

One thing I'm sick of seeing is programs being updated and none added. LOL! Like why is M$'s Windows the only Operating System that doesn't have it's own dictionary out of box?

I find it hilarious that some people still think this is what Windows 7 GUI will be. I mean...maybe, but come on...how many UI changes did XP go through during its milestone phase?

Heck, even Vista changed during these phases.

As for Word being for novices and advanced users download open office or symphony...thanks for the chuckle ;)
