Microsoft released a test drive engine that you can use to test drive Windows Vista SP1 online. You don’t need to install any software (unless you are not up to date with Active X.)

The Windows Vista Ultimate with Service Pack 1 (SP1) test-drive allows you to try (or “test drive”) this latest operating system from Microsoft without having to install it on your PC. By simply logging onto our test drive environment using your web browser, you will be able to experience Windows Vista first hand. You can explore the product on your own, or follow along with guided excercises and videos.

Simply head here and take a tour of Windows Vista or view a screenshot tour before continuing.

:) Great info! However, i personally think the best way to "try" Vista SP 1 is either of installing it directly on PC or better VMware virtual machine (though no hardware acceleration i.e for some features), anyhow it's still good offer from MS... :)

Thx alot for sharing here RickSOLET :P

Already knew about this. Also, Microsoft is only reaching out to the Windows community. Tough luck if you use Mac or Linux. Which I think Mac and Linux users don't care. Still it would be a great alternative than using an VM to just use IE (Web Masters).

Playing devils advocate, I don't see Apple offering test drives to Windows users either. Do you?
