Here I've tried to add those tips which are hidden from the users. You can click here to read all the features Google Chrome has, which you must know before using the browser.

Google Chrome Tips, Tricks & Tweaks For Nerds: :P

Task manager for websites: Pressing Shift+Esc will open a task manager for websites where you can see how RAM is consumed by a particular website. You can close the tab directly from the task manager if a site is slowing down your browser. [screenshot]

Jump to a tab: If you don't like to use mouse then for jumping to a particular tab you would use Ctrl+Tab to see the tabs one by one, but in Google Chrome you can press Ctrl+1 or Ctrl+2 or Ctrl+3 (up top 8) to open a particular tab.

Who is eating your RAM: Type "about:memory" in the address bar will open a list of all the browsers running on your system along with their memory consumption. [screenshot]

Opening the last tab: If you have mistakenly closed a tab then press Ctrl+Shift+T. Chrome will open the last closed tab again.

Themes: The official Chrome's theme site hasn't been activated yet but Devrexster has released a Google Chrome Themer's kit and a PitchBlack skin.

Please post other rare tips here if you are aware of.

you can highlight a URL on a page and grad it to the tab bar and drop, it will open the URL in a new tab
same thing applies for dragging and dropping pictures and pic links. wonderful for dA users.

Control+T opens up a new tab, just like in firefox.
any imported bookmarks can also be dragged and dropped out of the "imported" toolbar, and dropped in to the main Bookmarks toolbar.

1. Show the list of recently visited pages from the current tab: right-click on the "Back" button. This also works for the "Forward" button.

2. Perform simple calculations and unit conversions using Google Calculator by simply typing the expression in Google Chrome's address bar (or "omnibox"). To copy the answer, select the suggestion.

3. If you need more space in a textarea, resize it by dragging the lower right corner.

4. Monitor the resources used by a web page - right click inside the page, select "Inspect element", switch to the "Resources" tab and reload the web page. You'll see a list of images, scripts and objects loaded from the web page and you can sort them by size or by loading time.

5. After downloading a file, you can copy it to the desktop or to any other folder by using drag and drop directly from Google Chrome.

6. Focus on the default search option in the address bar: type ? before your query.

How to stop Chrome from setting individual user id and stop Google from identifying you easily (:-))

Chrome Id is saved in Local State file

Go to
X:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data (XP) and X:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data. (Vista)

Look for Local State file
Open it in Editor
Search for "user_experience_metrics"
Look for
"client_id_timestamp"
"client_id" and set them both to ""
Save and close
Make the file readonly
Run chrome and close it
You will see a file Local State tmp
Do the same thing you did before, and make this file readonly too.
Now you are set - no unique ID anymore (:-))

holding down Control + clicking on a link opens up in a new tab, just like in firefox.

any one find out how to put a "home" button up there? i miss my button...

alt+home, by the way, opens up Chrome's Speed Dial, not your home page, you know, your custom setting for new tabs from the options dialog box?
